From funky breaks all the way to nu skool dirtiness, Bioteknik drops tight beats. He was driven to breaks a few years back after being an avid drum and bass fan, yet still couldn’t deny his love for some funky house sounds. It seemed like the only logical step and his love for the music only has grown stronger since.

Last summer Bioteknik and Matt Sanborn formed Broken Soul and shortly after started throwing Hybrid, to try and accentuate the strong local scene DC had to offer.

Since being a resident at Hybrid, Bioteknik has played at Buzz, Vision, and various other weekly parties as well as radio gigs for ?In the Mix? and ?Global Dance Radio.? He is dedicated to encouraging the growth of DC’s breakbeat scene and dropping a tight clean set with tons of groove.
